Shift: Matters of Organic Waste
Organic matter trapped in landfill produces methane gas known to be 2,300 times more potent than carbon dioxide and a direct contributor to climate change. This reality often prompts a sense of guilt for being a waste maker and not knowing how to change one’s behavior to correct the problem. The topic of waste streams and climate changes conjure a sense of doom and gloom that compounds feelings of disempowerment. Through this project I seek to redesign our relationship to waste.
